PNG Conducting Work Upstream from Port Edward and Prince Rupert

In order to ensure the continued safety and reliability of our system, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG) is conducting routine repairs to our pipeline approximately 25 kilometres upstream from Port Edward, from November 7 to November 9, 2023. There will be no service disruptions to customers.

To make the planned repairs, PNG will be isolating the system. During this period, we will serve the Prince Rupert and Port Edward areas with Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) on an as-needed basis. PNG has served the Prince Rupert and Port Edward areas with LNG on a number of prior occasions. LNG is an energy source that PNG regularly deploys when needed to ensure safe and reliable service is maintained to customers. Regular gas supply will resume by the evening of November 9.
